42 year old Billy Rossini says he got the idea for the Nocqua 2000 after noticing underwater lights used by Yachts.. and he spent two years perfecting the system.
The design also includes a switch to trigger a SOS strobe.
The Nocqua 2000 costs about $400, and can be ordered online.
Fort Pierce, Fla — A group of treasure hunters makes a startling discovery.
Over the weekend they uncovered something… that hasn’t seen the light of day in nearly 3 hundred years!
The company “Booty Salvage” found $350-thousand dollars worth of gold necklaces and and coins…. A quarter mile off the coast of Fort Pierce.
One of the necklaces is worth an estimated 100-thousand dollars!
In total the group found 5 gold coins and 8 gold necklaces.
All of the treasure is believed to be from a spanish shipwreck in the 1700’s.
Orlando, Fla — A man arrested after he allegedly left his sleeping 7-year old daughter inside his car — while he visited a strip club.
38 year old – Elliut Gonzalez is now facing child neglect charges.
Someone called 9-1-1 after spotting his child inside a car… parked outside the Diamond Club around 1 am Wednesday.
A deputy had to knock on the car’s window multiple times… and then shake the car to wake the child.
Gonzalez allegedly told authorities he didn’t want to go home because of a fight with his girlfriend.
Key West, Fla — High flying drones could soon become the next weapon to battle those pesky mosquitoes.
Today the “Florida Keys Mosquito Control District”… began testing a next-generation drone… developed by a small Gainesville robotics company.
The drone is rigged with a thermal camera… designed to survey hard-to-access areas that are breeding grounds for the marsh mosquito.
The battery-powered drone weighs 2.6 pounds… and has a wing span of just over 2 and a half feet.
The drone can fly for up to 70 minutes… at about 30 miles an hour… and stream live video to a laptop.
The cost of the drone? About $65 dollars.
Fort Lauderdale, Fla — A South Florida American Airlines pilot is facing federal child porn charges.
According to a criminal complaint… 55-year old Christopher Holmes used online chat services and email to exchange pornographic images.
He’s also accused of describing in detail… his desire to torture, rape and then massacre children at a school.
Law enforcement tracked Holmes down through his IP address… based on messages he exchanged with another man.
Holmes was picked up at his home in Broward county and taken to jail.
Port St. Lucie, Fla — Port St. Lucie Police arrest a man for biting part of a man’s ear off and then placing it in a cup of coffee.
Police say on Sunday, Kenneth Howard Thompson came home to his female roommate and found that she had a male friend at the house.
Thompson then allegedly started a fight with the man.. And then bit a part of his ear off – when the man tried to leave.
Thompson told police that he put the ear in a cup of coffee that had creamer in it, because he said that he heard if you lose a tooth you should keep it in creamer.
Thompson was arrested for aggravated battery and taken to the St. Lucie County Jail.
Panama City Beach, Fla — A fisherman in Panama City Beach reels in a Hammerhead shark.. But that’s not the shocking part .. It’s what happened next that left beachgoers stunned..
After the fisherman hauled in the 5 foot Hammerhead … The shark gave birth to a litter of pups!
Park rangers arrived at the beach and tried to coax the shark back into deeper waters… but sadly the shark died.
The Shark pups.. which are very independent from their mother as soon as they are born.. Swam back into the ocean.
