Weather officials say a waterspout turned into a tornado for “a few moments” before dissipating.

No one was injured from the tornado and the airport has since re-opened.

CAUGHT ON TAPE: Police Accused of Excessive Force in Videotaped Arrest

KTLA, Long Beach, Ca — Police in Long Beach are facing accusations of excessive force after a video of a man’s arrest went viral on YouTube.

In the video, four police officers could be seen surrounding 46-year-old Porfirio Santos-Lopez while he was on the ground.

The video showed officers striking Santos-Lopez several times with a baton and then tasing him.

A witness, who did not want to be identified, recorded the video on her cell phone.

She and several other witnesses believed police went too far.

But police had a different perspective on what happened.

They described him as being violent and out-of-control.

Police are investigating the arrest.

Caught On Tape: Suspected Car Thief Tries To “Unsuccessfully” Escape From Police

Astoria, Queens, New York — A surreal incident caught on tape .. as a suspected car thief tries desperately to get away from police.

Even though police and bystanders surrounded the suspected thief… he wouldn’t give up and tried forcefully to escape the situation.

A one point the suspect put the vehicle in reverse.. and smashed into a moped .. nearly running over several people.

In the end, the suspect jumped out of the vehicle.. and tried to make a run for it but he was quickly apprehended.

Police say the alleged car thief was reportedly high on drugs.

Sinkhole slurps down a bunch of trees all at once

An enormous sinkhole in Assumption Parish, Louisiana swallowed several trees on Wednesday and the entire thing was caught on video.

The sinkhole, which was first documented last year, has only grown in size over the past several months. The trees it takes down go completely underwater in a matter of seconds in the eerie video, vanishing like a magician’s illusion as though they had never been there. It’s not clear at this point just how deep the sinkhole is.

The area has been evacuated for the safety of the residents, although the Assumption Parish Office of Emergency Preparedness says that none of the homes nearby are in danger.

Several sinkholes have opened up across the country in recent months, especially in the southern states. Florida has been hit especially hard, with at least one death after a massive hole opened up right beneath a man’s house. In July, a sinkhole opened up on a busy roadway in Toledo and sucked a car into itself; the driver was uninjured.
